These Permanently Available Rides (known as ‘Perms’ ) can be ridden just about any time to suit the individual rider, as opposed to Calendar Events which (by definition) can only be ridden as per the Organiser’s scheduled date.
Most of these are Audax rides but we also have some Manchester CTC rides, not Audaxes, which you can ride without the need to enter and collect control information as we don’t record a validation for these. Just ride them!
Perms can be ‘flat’ or ‘hilly’; just look for the AAA points as the higher the points the more you’ll be climbing. For a full list of Audax UK perms available outside our area, and for DIY Perms, click here .
Perms that can be used to qualify for the PARTY award are listed below.
* Note that all Perms can be started from anywhere on route, provided you can get sufficient evidence to convince the Organiser of your time and location. Perhaps the best way of achieving this is by using the eBrevet, which is available for most of our Perms.
You must be a member of Audax UK or CTC in order to have your Perm validated. You can apply for temporary membership of Audax membership for the duration of your ride by the addition of 3.00 to the entry fee which gives you compulsory third party for the duration of the ride (UK residents only, overseas residents must take out separate insurance cover).
