The Pendle Witch Trial Permanent

200km PARTY

From Lancaster to Winter hill via quiet back roads then on to Holcombe Brook, Sharneyford, Hebden Bridge and the last control at Haworth. Turn there for the long haul back to Lancaster which crosses Pendle Witch territory – Wycoller valley, where some of the women lived; Blacko, a possible site of the Malkin Tower meeting; a crossing of Pendle Hill itself then thru the Forest of Bowland. If finishing in daylight you may also get a view of Lancaster Castle and Assizes where the Witch trials took place. An editable routesheet and GPS link will be available after entry. Travel in either direction and start at any control or anywhere along the route using GPS or eBrevet.
