107Km permanent cycling event starting from Marple near Stockport.
The Permanent Version of the Easter Calendar Event.
A hilly ride out to the Peak District with some stiff climbs including Blaze Hill, Pym Chair the hard way and Cowdale.
The route passes through the Goyt Valley to Axe Edge before crossing the White Peak to Bakewell, returning along the Monsal Trail, Buxton and Long Hill before a final climb over Mellor Moor.
With some 15km offroad, maybe best suited for a gravel bike, but doable on any bike.
This is, in parts, an arduous ride over hilly, and exposed terrain. There are steep climbs and descents with some rough surfaces, please moderate your speed appropriately. You should study the route before setting out. You should carry food and drink, basic spares and tools, adequate clothing.
