Gravel ride.
The events has significant sections of ‘gravel’ surfaces but these are hard packed and well draining (mainly). These sections include (obviously) the Cotton Famine Road over Rooley Moor but both routes also offer some other really nice, picturesque moor sections.
Road bikes are not recommended. A gravel bike is ideal and, while a mountain bike would be excellent for the off road sections, I would consider it overkill considering the amount of tarmac also included. As BP events road legal ebikes can be used but must be declared and riders would not accrue AUK points.
Cafe start, participation sew on badges included and just £8.00 to enter. It’s going to be fun…
