Stumped and Dented

200km PARTY Peak Audax SR
Saturday 25th April 2026

Lumpy route from Caton near Lancaster through the Forest of Bowland into the Yorshire Dales then join with riders on the two companion events to return via Dent.

Start and finish at the Victoria Institute in Caton, so the entry price of £16.00 includes breakfast and supper (Vegan and gluten free) and also a distinctive sew on cloth event badge. Controls are either via eBrevet or commercial/info and there will instant validation on the day.

From Caton cross the Forest of Bowland to Pendle Hill, then a lumpy section via Skipton to Stump Cross Caverns and cafe at 95km. Retrace a few km for a downhill section to Grassington where you might meet riders on ‘A Bit Dented 150’. Both routes then go along lovely Littondale to Halton Gill where the road climbs steeply before a fast descent to Stainforth. Here you may also join riders on ‘Barely Dented 100’. Due to a landslip and road closure in Dentdale, all three routes will then probably go to Dent via a new control at Ingleton followed by a climb of spectacular Kingsdale and great descent of Deepdale. The climb after Dent is steep and short but rewarded with a long descent of beautiful Barbondale. Over Devils Bridge and just a few km along quiet lanes back to Caton.

Caton is easy to get to, being just 8km from Lancaster which is situated on the West Coast Mainline and adjacent to the M6 motorway. There are a number of budget hotels in the area.
