We'll be holding the Annual General Meeting of Peak Audax CTC and our subsidiary groups (Manchester CTC, West Manchester CTC, Rochdale CTC) on
Sunday 7th April 2024
at the Bijou Cafe in Cheadle. We'll then go for a ride in the wonderful cycling lanes around Styal, Alderley Edge and Peover, very possibly finishing in the pub back at Cheadle.
Our first control at Nether Alderley.

The
Riding in Styal 50
starts at
12:30
(or whenever we finish the AGM). You can enter the ride online or sign up on the day for a bargain entry fee of just £1.
The ride features an optional climb of Swiss Hill, a notorious cobbled hill in Alderley Edge. Can you get up without having to walk? Once at the top the only way is down as we take the swooping descent through the forest from the Wizard on Artists Lane. If you prefer to skip the climb (and descent), there is any easy diversion to Nether Alderley which will be on the route sheet.
There are some short off-road sections at The Carrs, Peover Hall and in Handforth but you'll be fine even on skinny road tyres. Have a word with us before you start if you are anxious about the suitability of your particular bike, but you'll be fine.
If 55km is not long enough for you, you could make this into an ECE, or even make up your own DIY ride.
