Prestwich-Bentham-Prestwich Permanent

200km PARTY

The UKs very own PBP (200)!

Start from Prestwich via Simister, Heywood, skirting Rochdale to Bacup. Then to Padiham, avoiding Burnley, before turning for Roughlee followed by a climb of Pendle Hill and a great descent via Downhan to enter the Forest of Bowland. No big Bowland climbs though as the route goes via Wigglesworth to Settle before turning for Bentham at 102km for a halfway break. Sedate (ish) roads continue via Wray and Caton to Galgate, then to Longridge which is the last control. Save some legs though for the climb via Tockholes and a return to Prestwich via Radcliffe.

Remote roads around Bowland and 3xAAA means this is not a perm to be undertaken lighlty so please consider the weather and amount of avialable daylight. You must use electronic proof of passage (GPS or E-Brevet) for this event.
Badge available Cost will be £3.00 inc P&P. Email if you’re interested.

Prestwich is just off Junction 17 of the M60 and there is free parking available nearby. It is 7km from Manchester city centre train stations.
