This is the Perm version of the Budworths 100 Calendar ride. The ride counts towards the PARTY award . The Perm can be ridden on any date except when it clashes with the Calendar version of this ride.
The ride starts from Poynton, near Stockport. Note that our traditional car park off Park Lane (near Waitrose) is now Pay and Display. There is a maximum stay of 10 hours. Alternatively there may be free parking at Poynton Pool carpark .
Just why Great Budworth and Little Budworth are so far apart (about 19km as the Audaxer cycles) is a bit of a mystery. Great Budworth is a picturesque village and has the added feature of a cafe at the Icecream Farm, popular on a number of Peak Audax events. (Note that the cafe is closed during winter but there is great cafe at the former Whitegate Station). Little Budworth is small (as the name might suggest) and quiet (that is unless there is racing going on at nearby Oulton Park).
The ride goes past the Anderton Boat Lift, which is one of the Seven Wonders of the Waterways, so is worth a look.
This Perm can be ridden with the e-Brevet app . Choose the anticlockwise version (MW45), the anticlockwise version (MW45-1309-2025-04-02), or customise your preferred option.
