Starting from outside the Costa coffee shop in Poynton this route climbs up the Brickworks and Side End Lane and through the beautiful Goyt Valley on the way to Blaze Farm in Wildboarclough, the farm is open daily during high season, (Thurs-Sat low season) and has a very nice tea room and ice cream parlour with plenty of outdoor seating where you will likely encounter some of the farm’s chickens hoping that you drop a bit of your cake. The route returns through Sutton and Bollington, if you wanted to visit the delightful Sutton Village Cafe (which is off route) take a left onto Walker lane at 38.5km.
There is pay and display parking near the start on the car park behind Waitrose.
